When I Rule the World

This is my first attempt at blogging and I guess I want to try it for the same reason as other bloggers: I should be ruling the world, but since I'm not, I will take this opportunity to at least give the rest of you directions on how to behave.
My name, plntpolice, comes from my experience as a landscape designer and contractor years ago. I saw a lot of hideous landscaping, committed by amateurs and professionals alike. People sheared their shrubs into little lollipops against nature's laws. They planted bushes destined to grow to 12 feet tall in front of 6 foot tall windows and then wacked them down three times a year. They planted annuals in concrete hard soil without digging in organic amendments first. They topped their trees. On and on.
So, it became apparent that I would have to be the plant police and put an end to this lawlessness. I squeezed my eyes shut real tight and concentrated, but I was unable to develop any superpowers. It was a very hard job, and I was successful in exerting my control over just a small portion of the earth. Now look what happened; we have all these climate/environmental issues, and I'm getting too old to gain more control.
All I can do is write a little and tell the rest of you what to do. Not just about plants, but everything, cause it's all getting bad. More to come. Peace out.
